Rust repair in Smithers, BC

Rust cut out of a body mount before new metal is welded in at Jack's Custom Restoration near Smithers BC

What gets fixed

Cab corners, rocker panels, floor pans, quarter panels, wheel arches, body mounts and frame sections. Trucks, 4x4s, classics and daily drivers all come through. Structural rust gets fixed, not buried under filler or undercoating.

Why collision shops send it to us

Insurance collision shops are set up for bolt on repairs and turnaround times. They will not cut and weld rust, so those vehicles get turned away. Cutting and welding is our main line.

When the panel does not exist

If nobody makes the panel for your vehicle, we make it here out of flat stock, shape it and weld it in. That covers a lot of older trucks and imports where reproduction panels were never made.

Sealing it so it stays fixed

New metal gets sealed on both sides. Seams and cavities are protected with cavity wax, and wheel arches and running boards can be coated with Raptor liner. Northern BC winter roads are hard on bare steel, so prevention is part of the job.
